3D/4D ultrasound scan - some useful info for preggers

as written in http://awinh.blogspot.com/, we did our 3D/4D ultrasound scan last saturday.

on 24 February 2012, i started to do my research on where do to the 3D/4D ultrasound scan. It was kinda late because back then i was already 27 weeks.. from what i found the perfect time to do such scan is 26-30weeks.. but by the time u reach 30 weeks, the baby is full in ur tummy and so it can't move much and u may not be able to see its face or gender.

taylor's college, kelana jaya

my sister did her ultrasound at taylor's college for RM60 back in 2009. her son was born on 09.09.09, she did the ultrasound maybe during her 6th months of pregnancy, (do the math as to when she did it with such price..) she said taylor's college is oke. but it was done by students, but it was oke and satisfying. i quickly called taylor's college. here was what i found:

- nowadays, it's going to cost u RM90
- they don't do it during weekend
- they do it only on thursday
- only limited persons per day
- u need to make early appointment because they are full all the time


when i called, there was an opening only on 15 march. but due to wan's constraint of taking leave from work and on 15 March, we are going to be 30weeks already..i didn't go to them. *sedih*

Puan Anson - Pusat Rawatan Mesra Seri Kembangan

next, i search on facebook "3D/4D ultrasound" and found few telephone numbers, so i called one Puan Anson. She is a sonographer of 25 years experience. She told me that she would be available on wednesday or thursday night 29 February or 1st March at Pusat Rawatan Mesra Seri Kembangan. When being asked about the price, she didn't know. She said, she didn't charge patient, the clinic does. So i asked the clinic and i was told that it was RM180.
I was ready to say yes, but later the clinic informed me that the ultrasound machine was under service/maintenance for the whole week.

Klinik Dr. Khalil, Taman Ehsan

this clinic only perform the 3D scan and not 4D. RM120 only on thursday.

I googled and suddenly found this website:

they offered ultrasound 3D/4D scan for only RM100 and u will be refunded if they failed to show ur baby's face during the scanning. I called one Miss Wong and asked few questions. I was told that they have an opening on 10 March, Saturday. It was perfect because it only costs rm100 and it is on Saturday.! so i proceed to book (by making online payment of RM100) and later they emailed me the location of the clinic.

Having made my choice, we proceed to the clinic specified in the email on 10 March 9.40am. Klinik Pakar Wanita dan Keluarga Petaling Jaya, which is situated near famous restaurant Murni SS2.. i met with one Miss Jezzlyn, the sonographer. She is friendly to us mom n dad, chirpy and happy-go-lucky kind of lady. She is also good at her job kinda expert to me. We went in about 9.50am and we're done by 10.20am..almost half an hour of wonders.

Klinik/hospital klinik swasta yg lain

most of them will charge u RM190, RM250 and even RM300.. so it's safe to say RM190 and above.

p/s when u call for appointment ask them whether they are going to provide u with the cd of pictures and videos or not? if not, find another place! :)
it's important to have such cd because after u saw ur child through 3D/4D scanning, u'll tend to miss him/her and u can easily watch the cd over and over again..until ur child is born. trust me!
